Congratulations go to Harriers Season Ticket Holder ERIC REYNOLDS who is officially the club’s “12th Man” for the 2010/11 Season.

Mr. Reynolds, 68, who lives just off Hoo Road near Aggborough in Kidderminster, was the name drawn from the hundreds who’d entered this summer’s competition run by the Kidderminster Harriers Independent Supporters’ Trust (KHIST).

He visited Aggborough yesterday with his five year-old grandson Jack in tow, and as part of his prize both were able to pose with the team for an official squad photograph – a copy of which you can pick up in pull-out poster form in our first match day programme of the season versus Southport next Tuesday.

Eric also gets his name and squad number added to the squad list here on your official website, not to mention each and every match programme both home and away for the forthcoming season.

All this for just a £1 raffle ticket – no wonder the call came as something of a surprise recently!

“I got involved with this through joining KHIST a few weeks ago which I’d only really done because I think it is important to have that supporter relationship with the club,” our newest addition explained to harriers.co.uk.

“I did it for that purpose so I was certainly surprised to hear I’d been pulled out of the hat.

“The call came during an evening and I’d already had a meal and a few glasses of wine so I thought it was someone winding me up!

“But I’m happy about it and I was especially pleased to get my grandson involved, he was a bit overawed by the occasion but he really loved being there.”

A keen cyclist, he swapped his bike for a seat up at Aggborough a few years ago and he now enjoys watching our boys tackle the physical side of a Saturday afternoon.

“Up until a few years ago I had been actively involved in veteran cycle racing and I hadn’t got time for anything else as I was racing each weekend,” he added.

“But when I stopped doing that I started coming up to the Harriers and it was a nice change to be watching other people going at it!

“I gradually got more involved and last year I became a Season Ticket holder and am again this season.

“I’m at all the home games where I can meet up with a few friends and have a couple of drinks and it is a nice afternoon, particularly if we win!

The KHIST fans team rounded off another succesful season with news that they have been awarded the ‘IFA Supporters Team of the 2009/10 Season’

Harriers compete in the Internet Football Association (IFA) against other supporters teams from throughout Britain on most mornings before the KHFC afternoon fixture. The league comprises of 80 teams with each side voting for their team of the season. The prestigous award is not awarded solely for footballing ability (thank god!) but for the friendliness, organisation and general reputation. The KHIST side become the first non league side to win the award and will recieve the award from previous winners West Ham United.

Joint Managers David Pountney and Mark Connolly will pick up the award this weekend at the national supporters tournament up in Leeds. KHIST will be represented by two sides in the two day event as over 80 teams compete in the World Net Supporters Tournament. Over 30 KHFC supporters will converge on Yorkshire bas the ‘A’ side look to improve on last years quarter final appearance while the ‘B’ team hope to win a game!

Player of the season Chris Lacey and Lewis Pountney will also represent England in the annual international against Scotland on the Friday evening.

Last year lucky winners sampled a home game in true style with an Executive Box package up in the Aggborough Suite, with Restaurant Packages and a signed club shirt also among the prizes.

The raffle proved quite popular and, understandably, so did the prizes! So it’s only right that the we’re are giving this one another go ahead of the 2010/11 season.

Priced at just £2, a raffle ticket puts you in with a chance of winning one of those fantastic packages, and with Aggborough famed for its hospitality, we’re sure you’ll agree that a £2 pledge is more than a worthy wager!

To recap, the prizes are as follows:

FIRST PRIZE
Executive Box Package @ KHFC

Your package for a home fixture includes:
A pre-match meal for eight people or a fantastic buffet for ten people with full waitress service; you can watch the action at Aggborough from the warmth and comfort of your box with its own colour television.

All guests will be issued with complimentary match programmes, and can take in refreshments at half-time. The package also includes two Car Park passes for the South Car Park at Aggborough for each game of the deal.

SECOND PRIZE
Restaurant Package @ KHFC

Your package for a home fixture includes:
A three-course pre-match meal, along with Executive seating in the Main Stand – allowing you to view the game in one of the best spots in the ground. Plus: refreshments at half-time. Also includes complimentary match programmes and car park passes plus the use of the Aggborough Suite after the game.

THIRD PRIZE
A brand new Harriers home or away shirt

Produced by Nike and with new sponsors OGL; signed by all the members of the squad here at Aggborough.

For as little as £2, you could be enjoying some of the above this season.

Raffle tickets are set to go on sale at all of Harriers hoem friendlys from the Club Shop and from ticket sellers within the ground, starting with our game against West Brom on Saturday (12:30pm kick-off).

The draw will be made shortly before the kick-off at the Hayes & Yeading game on Saturday 11th September.

Good luck!
