Football Fans Race Night at Warwick
Football fans racenight at Warwick
Supporters invited to Sport of Kings
Thanks to a unique partnership between the Brakes Trust and Warwick Racecourse, football fans from all over the Midlands will be able to attend the evening meeting on Monday, June 18, kick off 6.10 pm, at heavily discounted prices.
Members of trusts and registered supporters clubs will gain admission for £5.00 per person discounted entry (normally £13.50) by going to Warwick Race course on line and quoting the reference SD 18.
The whole family can also go along following a special racecourse concession with free admission to wife/partner and children when accompanied by a ticket holder.
This is exceptional value for an evening’s entertainment when compared with premier league, theatre or music. A good take up by supporters may result in this Fans Racenight becoming an annual affair.
All supporters are encouraged to wear the shirts of their teams to add colour to an already stunning spectacle. The Brakes Trust is hosting the event and its members, and supporters of Leamington FC, will get free admission and free parking.
Huw Williams, managing director of Warwick Races, says Leamington FC and the racecourse are old, established sporting venues. “The idea is to promote and engage the followers of both sports to participate in one another’s disciplines.”
Peter Bowen, vice-chair of the Brakes Trust, explained that following a successful race night last year, it was decided to broaden and extend the event to trusts and supporters groups within a mile of the racecourse.
“We are delighted. The good relationship established with Huw Williams is part of our plans to get closer to the business, sporting and local community. It shows how attitudes have changed over recent years when fans are made welcome to the Sport of Kings and encouraged to socialize amongst themselves and race goers outside the football season.”
