The first draw of the new competition was held during Saturday’s AGM, in the presence of 52 members and was immediately redrawn.
The entry, drawn by former KHIST board member Martin Lewis, was number 1, that being held by current board member Dave Williams. However, Dave declared that he would not accept the prize and insisted on the redraw. His generous offer was accepted with much applause from the members and so Martin then drew number 40.
Congratulations go to Michael Jeanes (member 0055), who is our first winner, and will now be receiving the sum of £200.00.
The next draw will take place in the Social Club, during the KHIST board meeting on Wednesday, 30th October, when the prize pot will be no less than £300.00. If you’re not already signed up, please make sure you confirm your intention to do so, as soon as possible.
The draw is restricted to Trust members but, any Harriers’ supporter can apply for KHIST membership, with options to join for 1, 5 or 10 years, on completion of an application form and payment of a nominal fee.
Support for the draw is now growing with several intended participants having been recorded during Saturday’s meeting. We are hoping that many more members will see this as a ‘fun way’ of supporting the Trust in our efforts to raise vital funds. Please follow this link to confirm your interest and the number of £5.00 monthly entries you wish to make. A Standing Order Mandate (including the appropriate entry numbers/references) will then be issued for you to complete and send to your bank.
You will be able to choose to pay by cash or cheque, if you so wish. However, If you select that option, we will email you to confirm your entry numbers and it will then be your responsibility to make advance payments (each for a minimum 3 months’ entries), in good time.
Any KHIST board member will be pleased to offer assistance.
