BT’s 100% Sport Initiative, Invite Only Event, Manchester 9th May 2016

BT have been in touch with the FSF to ask us to spread the word about an event they’re holding at the National Football Museum on Monday 9th May, please find their event invitation attached.

As well as fans there will be reps from a number of football clubs. The main thrust of the afternoon is to let you know about their 100% Sport initiative on renewable energy which they’re keen to get fan’s ideas on.

However, it’s worth noting that there’s a 45 minute Q&A session with a BT Sport Chief Operating Officer Jamie Hindhaugh and we understand that the “BT talent” referred to in the invitation could be Gary Neville.

During discussions with the event organisers we suggested that this Q&A would be important to our members. Whilst it isn’t the main purpose of the day the FSF are of the opinion that it could provide the platform for ongoing discussion about the influence of a major broadcaster on things like late changes to kick off times, ticket pricing and other issues for the match going fans.

BT will pay up to £75 travel expenses for each fan attending.

Registration is necessary please email your name, club and supporters’ organisation to david.rose@fsf.org.uk to confirm your attendance or give him a call on 0330 44 000 44 if you have any further questions.

Kind regards
