KHFC AGM and proposed Fans Forum

KHFC AGM

Supporters will be aware that the Kidderminster Harriers AGM was held in the Aggborough Suite on Monday, when shareholders had the opportunity of quizzing the club’s directors in a questions & answers session. Searching questions were asked, with particular emphasis to the club’s recent past, and assurances were sought regarding its future. Frank and honest responses enabled attendees to have a better understanding of problems encountered and actions taken by the board. Plans for the remainder of this season and for 2015/16 were also the subjects of discussion.

The club’s official website has highlighted the ‘key points’ from the meeting, as follows-

  • It was confirmed that all staff will be paid their outstanding monthly wages by the end of the week
  • Benefactors Ernie and Kath Lane will continue to cover staff wages until the end of the season and the club would like to place on record their thanks for their contribution
  • Another fans’ forum to include the chairman and board of directors is to be arranged before the end of the season – more details will follow in due course
  • The squad is to remain full-time next season with the playing budget to be reduced

The club also thanked the attendees for donating a total of £360 to the club by way of a collection.

On behalf of our members and all Harriers’ fans, the KHIST Board would like to express our tremendous appreciation of the continued financial support given to our football club by Kath and Ernie Lane, who are long term Harriers’ supporters and most generous benefactors.

Proposed fans’ forum

It has now been agreed with the football club that KHIST are to arrange another Fans Forum, which will be similar to the very successful event arranged earlier in the season for Gary, Mark and Josh. This time the Board of Directors have confirmed that they will be in attendance and, so far as possible, will make every effort to deal as openly as possible, with all questions raised by Harriers’ supporters.

The Trust will now proceed to organise the forum for the earliest convenient date, and details will be confirmed, on this website, as soon as possible. It will also be publicised on the KHIST information board in the Harriers Arms and by the club.
