KHFC vs Oldham Athletic – KHIST POTM Man of the Match – Vote Now!

Harriers were edged out of the FA Cup on Saturday at Aggborough as Oldham Athletic, of League One, avoided their potential banana skin with a 2-0 victory.

Infront of a season’s best crowd of 2,888, Harriers defended resolutely to go in to the half-time interval with the scoreline goalless and were unlucky not to take the lead shortly after half-time when Anthony Malbon’s header was saved by Dean Bouzanis in the Latic’s goal.

Oldham then made the two division gap tell with two goals inside thirteen minutes as Cristian Montano tucked home before Jose Baxter’s free kick eluded everyone to beat Harriers custodian Nathan Vaughan.

Despite some sustained late pressure from Harriers, including a penalty shout for handball in stoppage time, it was Oldham who held on and will host Doncaster Rovers in the Second Road next month.

It was a fantastic performance from Harriers considering the gap in places in the pyramid and there were several excellent performances, but who gets your Man of the Match vote? Please vote using the form below, but only one vote per person. All votes go towards the KHIST Player of the Month Award for November.
