KHFC vs Woking – KHIST POTM Man of the Match – Vote Now!

Harriers were pegged back lastnight in the Blue Square Bet Premier title race as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Woking at Aggborough.

The result mirrored the same scoreline that Harriers were held to in early November against the Cards at Kingfield, the last time Harriers had drawn in any fixture, although it looked as though another home win was on the way when Josh Gowling stooped to nod in a corner after 13 minutes. But the men from Surrey were back on level terms shortly after, when Bradley Bubb was bought down in the box by Mickey Demetriou and he picked himself up to fire home the penalty past Danny Lewis.

Anthony Malbon restored Harriers’ advantage after half-time, as he poked home from Michael Gash’s header as he managed to keep in play a deep corner from Kyle Storer, but the hosts seemed to immediately switch off and Billy Knott levelled with a great run and shot to beat Lewis.

The inevitable Harriers onslaught arrived for the last thirty minutes of the match but it wasn’t to be their night and the scoreline remained 2-2. It sees their lead at the top of the table cut to only a point after Mansfield Town beat Nuneaton Town 1-0.
