KHIST 2020 Lottery – taking it to the next level (update)
The Trust is delighted to confirm having had a very satisfactory response from our supporters to a request for help, which first appeared on this website on 14th November.
Since it was first established in January 2011, the lottery has been an undoubted success, having raised in excess of £94K for the benefit of Kidderminster Harriers in just short of 4 years – a fantastic achievement. The current “financial challenges” at the club have, however, been well publicised and, it’s been our ambition for some time to grow the lottery ‘to the next level”. We therefore requested our members and supporters to consider making regular lottery entries by mandate (forms for which can be downloaded from the KHIST website or provided by any Trust board member). We also requested supporters, who may not be able to give that regular commitment, to purchase £1 cash lottery tickets whenever they can. These are always available from any of the various volunteers who help us to sell tickets for the monthly draw. If you are able to persuade the odd friend or family member to participate, then please contact a Trust board member, who will arrange for you to have the tickets you require.
Perhaps more innovative was the revelation that, for the first time we are now recruiting Harriers fans as agents. The deal is that anyone who can commit to selling a minimum of 40 tickets each month will be allocated 15% of the accumulated proceeds towards their next KHFC season ticket. Supporter agents will, of course, be helping the Trust to secure funds for the benefit of our football club.
In just three weeks, we have had a very satisfactory response to our request for new mandates (5 already confirmed) and a number of supporters have made enquiries as to how they can get involved. In particular, we have already reached agreement with 10 (ten) applicants, who will be signed up as KHIST 2020 Lottery Agents over the course of the next few days (that’s a minimum 400 lottery tickets per month) and we’re looking forward to reaching similar agreements with many more of our loyal supporters.
For those fans who may be considering becoming lottery Agents, our board members will be available in the ‘Harriers Arms’, after the FA Youth Cup match/ KHIST 2020 Lottery draw on Wednesday (10thDecember). You will then have the opportunity to ask questions or, indeed, to sign up.
The standard KHIST Lottery Agent Agreement is now available and is as detailed below:

This allocated money will be retained by KHIST and prior to the Lottery Agent procuring his or her next season ticket, the Lottery Agent must contact the KHIST board, which will then make a contribution of the accumulated value of this allocated money directly to KHFC with respect to the Lottery Agents next KHFC Season Ticket..
