KHIST initiative – Armed Forces Day
The Trust is very pleased to be able to confirm that the Harriers’ rearranged home match against Kings Lynn Town, on Tuesday, 5th November (7.45pm k.o.), will now be FREE to enter for past and present members of HM Armed Forces. This KHIST board member’s suggestion has now been agreed with the club after several weeks of negotiation and replaces the original proposal for the Gateshead match, which is still to be rearranged.
Military personnel wishing to take advantage of this offer will simply be asked to provide one of the following methods of I.D. at the turnstiles:-
An active, current Armed Forces ID Card
An Official Armed Forces Defence Discount Card
A UK Armed Forces Veterans ID card
This rearranged fixture is now the closest to Armistice Day and has therefore been considered the most appropriate day for this initiative to be realised. Before the match, we will pay our respects to those who have fallen and those who continue to make sacrifices in the service of our country.
We will remember them!
KHIST would like to express our appreciation of the football club’s support for this initiative.
