KHIST Monthly Board Meeting October 2012

The meeting was attended by six Board members with Steve Millington in the chair.

John Davies, KHIST’s representative on the KHFC Board, was attending a Club Board meeting, which was running concurrently, and will report back to our November meeting.

The Treasurer’s report detailed a stable position which still allows KHIST to continue to make a £2,000 contribution to Club funds each month. Steve Millington also highlighted the fact that £166 had been raised via Easy Fundraising to date by only 14 KHIST members and that if more fans could be encouraged to make their internet purchases via this scheme it could make a very significant contribution to our funds.

The Secretary confirmed that two new nominations for board membership had been received which had brought the total due for appointment at next week’s AGM to six.

Geoff Coles, Membership Secretary, reported that 326 members had now signed up or renewed their memberships for 2012/13 to date. It was agreed that fans should be encouraged to collect their new membership cards at the ground or, otherwise, be asked to pay an additional voluntary contribution of at least 50p to cover postage.

It was noted that ticket sales for the 2020 Lottery were still holding up well and that overall sales were maintaining total proceeds to near £3,000 per month. It was agreed that the Trophy re-run event had been very successful and that other KHIST members should be asked for their future fundraising suggestions.
