KHIST Statement on the KHFC Change of Ownership

Following the announcement today by Kidderminster Harriers regarding the change of ownership structure at the club; KHIST would like to confirm to our members that the ambitious plans put forward by KHFC Chairman Rod Brown and Director of Football Development Colin Gordon has the full support of the KHIST Board.

The continuing financial challenges inherited by the current KHFC Board of Directors have previously been well documented and we are delighted that Colin Gordon has provided the much needed financial investment into the club to stabilise the clubs current financial position. We, like we’re sure any Harriers fan, are in complete agreeance with the philosophy being adopted whereby the club becomes a self-sufficient organisation and without requiring a reliance on generous benefactors.

KHIST supports the vision that Rod Brown and Colin Gordon are setting out (you can watch the video interviews below), whereby the club becomes a focal point of the community it serves.

We look forward to hearing more about these changes and the plans for the future from the KHFC Board of Directors at the upcoming Fans a Forum on the 12th November, where Dave Hockaday will also be present to give his views on the first team. More details and tickets for the Fans Forum are available to purchase online here or in person at the Harriers Ticket Office.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our members for their continued support of KHIST, through your valued membership, the KHIST 2020 Lottery and our other fundraising ventures. We would like to reassure our members that the 2 KHIST Representatives on the KHFC Board of Directors, Geoff Coles & Dave Williams, have been fully involved in this process of ownership change.

KHIST will also be launching a new fundraising initiative, with more details to be confirmed shortly.
