Minutes Summary from May 2014 Board Meeting
The meeting was attended by all eleven Board members, including Ian Nash newly co-opted, with Dave Pountney in attendance and Geoff Coles in the chair.
Belinda Banner reported that a number of KHIST members had already renewed for the 2014/15 season and it was agreed that members should be reminded that £1 was the minimum subscription and that additional donations were always welcome. Dave Williams confirmed another successful month for the 2020 Lottery with total receipts again over £3,000 and it was agreed that he was to be congratulated that he had encouraged 6 new lottery mandates to be taken out in the past month.
Leighton Pickett presented the Treasurers report which again detailed a very satisfactory position with £5,210 in the Society’s reserves and nearly £410 earned to date by 24 registered KHIST members from the Easyfundraising scheme.
Board members were very pleased to note that Geoff Coles had now been confirmed as the new KHIST representative on the KHFC Board.
Geoff Coles confirmed that the 12th Man draw would go ahead before the start of the new season with a £10 entry fee, including £1 for membership, and with the initiative raising another £250 for the Club. The board were also pleased to note that Dave Mole and a friend had volunteered to take part in the Wrexham Supporters Trust Snowden climb, being organised as part of their Club’s 150th Anniversary celebrations, and would be hoping for sponsorship to raise funds for KHIST.
Other matters agreed included the suggestion that Geoff Coles would make himself available on the evening of each Lottery draw, generally the 10th of the month, for any member to come along and raise matters of interest or concern. It was also agreed that Board members would wear a name badge to make themselves more visible on match days and that the setting up of a data base of former KHFC players should be considered.
