Project 1000 – Have you got yours yet?

In order to help set the playing budget for next season, Kidderminster Harriers Football Club launched their early bird season tickets last week and have experienced a steady start.  The club needs as many fans to commit in advance to be able to help set as high a playing budget as possible for next season and build on this season’s success.

After a reasonable start (see table) the club have sold 82 season tickets but we need more supporters to commit. Harriers fans received further good news this week when Steve Burr and Gary Whild signed extended contracts and this was soon followed by first team players Danny Lewis and Callum Gittings signing new deals for next season.

Project 1000 is simple. We need to encourage at least 1000 fans into becoming season ticket holders in the next few weeks. If we only retain the same number of season ticket holders as this season (approx. 500), the majority of this season’s squad will have to be released in order to avoid the financial nightmare we had this season. Kidderminster Harriers Chairman, Mark Serrell was very open at the recent fans’ forum; the playing budget will be decided by the amount of season tickets sold. We will operate within our means from here on in, so that the last few months off the pitch will soon be a distant memory! But let’s make sure the success on the pitch this season remains! So, once you’ve signed up for yours, think of who else you can encourage to become part of the KHFC family…

Prices have been frozen at this season’s rates but only until 23 April 2011 (despite the increase in VAT meaning the club will receive less than this season) – as a thank you to all the loyal fans over the last few testing months. Furthermore, the club has extended the concessionary rates (Over 65’s are now Over 60’s and terrific youth deals).

So make the most of this bargain offer and help build the future.  Remember – if you wish, you can spread the payment of your season ticket over the 4 months of April – July (interest free!).

You can purchase your season tickets in person or over the phone (01562 823931) and the ticket office will also be open from 8.15 till 9am on Saturday 26th March prior to official coaches departing for Mansfield.
