Charity Walk For Cure Leukaemia Hailed Huge Success
As many of you will know a group of Harriers fans led by former KHIST board member David Poutney and current KHIST treasurer David Lewis took part in a charity walk from Aggborough Stadium to Solihull Moors FC on Tuesday.
They were raising funds for cure leukaemia in support of 11-year-old Bella Hudson, a local girl from Kidderminster who was diagnosed with the disease when she was eight years old.
Despite heavy rain and torrid conditions the group of Harriers supporters successfully navigated the trip on foot and arrived at Solihull Moors Stadium early on Tuesday evening.
Despite their disappointment that the game had been postponed while they were en route, the event has been a huge success with well over £15,000 raised for cure leukaemia at the time of writing.
Keen to support the event your supporters trust has pledged a cheque of £250 which will be handed over to David Pountney in the coming days.
Should any supporters wish to make a donation, there will be a KHIST table located outside the turnstiles that take supporters into the east stand from 2.00pm until 2.45pm before Saturday’s home game v Dorking Wanderers.
The KHIST board of directors wish to pass on our congratulations and best wishes to all that took part and would like to ask any of our members who feel they can make a donation to this worthwhile cause to visit our table on Saturday before the game.
