Fans’ Working Day

As many of our members will be aware a fans working initiative, organised by KHIST board member Warwick Nash, took place at Aggborough last Saturday (10th August).

After protracted negotiations which started in the Spring, followed by one or two postponements, a meeting took place in early July, between Warwick, Dave Seddon (KHFC Chairman) and Keith Mansell (Stadium Manager & Security Officer). The date was then agreed and volunteers from amongst the club’s supporters were identified. The work started at 8.00am on Saturday

We are now pleased to announce that the project was a great success and a party of 16 volunteers (including 3 KHIST board members) – all of them enthusiastic Harriers’ fans – carried out a thorough clean-up of the club’s Main Stand, including the cleaning and washing down of every single seat and a complete sweep out. Those sitting in the Main Stand for Tuesday’s match against Gloucester City will notice a big difference.

Other volunteers on the day included Dave Seddon and Harriers Online forum host Phil Lench.

Warwick wishes to place on record his sincere thanks to John Davies at Hire It for sponsoring the event and John Beards Ironmongers for their assistance.

With the success of this event, Warwick is hopeful of organising another one – possibly in October ? KHIST will of course keep our members informed, in good time.

Well done to all the volunteers !
