Ian Nash Memorial Walk

In May it will be one year since the sad passing of our chairman Ian Nash. Over the last twelve months Ian has been greatly missed both on the terraces and as the driving force behind all KHIST activities.

Over the May Bank Holiday weekend our treasurer David Lewis and former board member Dave Pountney will be undertaking a sponsored walk in Ian’s memory raising money for HUGS www.hugs.org.uk, a local charity close to Ian’s heart.

HUGS offers a range of services for bereaved parents and their families. They recognise that everyone is different and that we all grieve and find comfort in our own ways. They provide local hospitals with keepsake boxes filled with gifts to help parents make memories with their baby in the short time that they get to spend together at the hospital. They can also offer one to one meetings, phone support, group meetings or chat via emails.

David and Dave will be setting out from Aggborough on the morning of Sunday May 1st and walking the 43 miles to the Your Local Co-op Stadium, Leamington to arrive in time for the National League North fixture on Monday 2nd.
