Intended KHIST Appeal for the Nuneaton Borough Supporters Co-operative

The KHIST board has requested permission from our football club to organise a collection, on behalf of the supporters of Nuneaton Borough, in their efforts to save their football club from extinction.

Harriers’ fans will undoubtedly empathise with the plight of Saturday’s visitors to Aggborough, as without the generous support of other club’s fans, KHIST would not have been successful in our campaign to save Kidderminster Harriers from impending liquidation, a few years ago.

Unfortunately, however, we have to explain that our football club has made the requested permission subject to a condition which would defeat the object of the Appeal and which is, therefore, totally unacceptable to the Trust. We regret, therefore, that we will not be authorised to collect donations within the stadium. We do hope that we may be able to make an alternative arrangement, so that our members and other Harriers fans will be able to make their contributions to the cause, irrespective of this unforeseen and, in our view, unreasonable situation.

Football clubs belong to their fans and none should have to lose the club they support.   Let us hope that Kiddy fans never have to face that situation again !

A further notice will be posted, as soon as arrangements to receive donations can be confirmed.
