KHFC vs Hereford United – KHIST POTM Man of the Match – Vote Now!
Harriers’ Blue Square Bet Premier winning streak came to an end today at Aggborough as they were defeated 1-0 by rivals Hereford United infront of a bumper New Year’s Day crowd of 3,674.
Despite sustained pressure throughout the match, Harriers couldn’t quite breach the Bulls’ defence and Josh O’Keefe’s 13th minute penalty proved to be the difference between the sides. The hosts had more than enough chances to claim a victory but after Kyle Storer’s second-half spotkick was saved by James Bittner, it looked like it might be one of those days for Harriers as the United goal led a charmed life.
It was the biggest crowd at Aggborough for nearly seven years, when over 4,000 watched us draw 1-1 with Yeovil Town in League Two in April 2005. It was also the first time Hereford had got the better of Harriers since New Year’s Day in 1998.
