KHFC vs Lincoln City – KHIST POTM Man of the Match – Vote Now!
Harriers kept their place at the top of the Blue Square Bet Premier with a comfortable 3-0 win over relegation-haunted Lincoln City at Aggborough on Saturday.
It was Danny Jackman who opened the scoring in the first half, firing home his first for the club from Michael Gash’s clever downwards chest. It was to be the end of the scoring though until late on in the match as the Imps piled on the pressure in the second half in search of an equaliser. But the second did arrive with ten minutes remaining on the clock as Kyle Storer raced through to latch onto Marvin Johnson’s long ball and lift the ball over the ‘keeper infront of the Town End.
And the win was sealed in the 89th minute as Lee Vaughan’s trickery on the right wing was capped with a strong finish that eluded the City defence. Harriers remain a point clear at the summit of chasing Mansfield Town, who do possess two games in hand.
