KHIST Annual General Meeting 2010
29 members attended the meeting last Saturday after the Grimsby Town game
Highlights of the meeting included the Chairman’s Report, in which Dave Weaver reflected on another very successful year for KHIST. He noted that membership had increased to 304 by July of this year and that this had enabled the Trust to continue to support the Club in a variety of ways. These included player sponsorship, organisation of the Executive Box Raffle and funding for the Player of the Month competition. This report and that of Steve Millington, the Treasurer, were approved unanimously. Harben Barker Ltd. were reappointed as the Society’s auditors for the next financial year and it was noted that Dave Pountney, Sheila Thomas and Adi Harper had been appointed/reappointed unopposed to the Society’s Board.
The Question and Answer session which followed the formal business concentrated on the current position regarding ownership of the Club. Steve Millington stressed that KHIST were assessing and monitoring the situation and that the Trust was keen to talk to anyone interested in becoming part of a consortium to secure the Club’s future. Meanwhile, the Secretary emphasised that the membership drive would continue and that numbers for the new season were already up to around 340.
