KHIST fans team play at Aggborough Stadium
The KHIST fans team finished the season in style at the weekend with two games on the hallowed Aggborough turf against the supporters of Oxford United and AFC Halifax with whom we enjoy a very good relationship.
Although both the KHIST side’s suffered defeat the day went extremly well and a total of £1000 was raised which has been donated to the club. It was a great reward to all those players that have played this season and repersented the club so well and travelled thousands of miles in the process.
In the first game the Harriers suffered a narrow 4-3 defeat to Oxford with KHFC manager making a guest appearance and even scoring one of the goals. Paul Taylor and Andrew Coffield grabbed the other goals whilst Mark Connolly turned in a man of the match performance in defence.
A second squad of 16 KHIST players also suffered defeat losing 4-1 to AFC Halifax supporters with stalwart Pete Lewis grabbing the goal and former KHIST chairman, Adam Smith, collecting man of the match.
The day rounded off a very successful season for the fans team who have played a total of 33 games and used a staggering 56 different players and have travelled up and down the country. The team along with the away travel, run by Dave Williams, has also managed to raise a substantial amount of money for the club.
The End of season presentation evening is being held up the Aggborough Suite for the fans team and two Harriers Trust sides on Saturday 23rd May with tickets costing £5.
