KHIST fans team still going strong

Following last week’s successful fundraiser at Aggborough Stadium the KHIST fans team made the trip north to take on their good friends from the Preston North End supporters team at their first team ground – Deepdale.

After suffering defeat at Aggborough a youthful Harriers side put in a good performance and a headed goal by Alex Withers (pictured) and some good goalkeeping by Dave Ackerley gave Harriers a creditable draw. Full match report

The fans team season is far from over though as the team host Motherwell in the quarter finals of the British supporters cup at the end of the month after victories over West Brom and Bury in the previous rounds.

Then a party of 27 will be  heading off to Barcelona in June for a supporters football tournament to celebrate the fans team’s ten year anniversary in style.

The team are always on the look out for new players to get involved. The team have played 29 games this season using a staggering 72 different players up and down the country. The games are played on a Saturday morning, usually against Harriers afternoon opponents, and cater for ALL abilities and ages. The only requirement is that you support the Harriers and attend the afternoon game.

So if you are interested in getting involved next season please contact manager Mark Connolly for further information-
