KHIST Statement Following Formal Meeting with Wyre Forest District Council on the Future of Aggborough Stadium
Meeting date: 17th February 2026
KHIST representatives met with Wyre Forest District Council representatives (Councillor Marcus Hart, Leader of Wyre Forest District Council, Ostap Paparega, Deputy Chief Executive and Faye Parrett, Head of Commercial Services) to discuss the future of Aggborough Stadium and the freehold sale process. This meeting followed the Cabinet Member meeting held on 11 February, during which the proposed sale was considered. We are pleased to report that the discussion was constructive and positive.
During the meeting, Council Leader, Councillor Marcus Hart, indicated that the District Council will seek to include appropriate covenants as part of any future freehold sale, with the intention of safeguarding the site’s use as the home of Kidderminster Harriers Football Club. Council representatives listened carefully to the concerns KHIST has raised and acknowledged the importance of the club’s continued presence at Aggborough.
Based on the information shared with us, KHIST is reassured that there is no immediate threat to football at Aggborough. While any long-term proposals may take time to develop, we will continue to monitor the situation closely and remain ready to respond on behalf of our members and the wider fan base.
We would like to place on record our thanks to Councillor Marcus Hart for the open and constructive way in which the Council is approaching this process.
KHIST remains committed to keeping supporters informed and will continue to engage proactively with all relevant parties.
