KHIST Update – Aggborough Stadium and Adjacent Car Park sale

Kidderminster Harriers Independent Supporters Trust (KHIST) have written to Wyre Forest District Council (21st November 2025) to follow up on our earlier correspondence (31 October 2025) regarding the proposed disposal/sale of the listed community asset: Aggborough Stadium and the adjacent car park on Hoo Road.

To date, we have not received an acknowledgement or response. Given the importance of this site to the local community and its historic role as the home of Kidderminster Harriers Football Club, KHIST is keen to engage constructively with the Council to ensure its long‑term protection for football use.

In our letter, we asked for:

  • A meeting with the relevant department to discuss safeguards being considered.
  • Assurance that the appropriate guarantees that proper covenants are included in any future sale to ensure the site remains dedicated to football use for Kidderminster Harriers.
  • Clarification on whether existing lease agreements relating to the land would be transferrable in the event of a sale.

We appreciate that not all supporters may feel the same sentiment about Aggborough Stadium remaining the long‑term home of Kidderminster Harriers. The KHIST Board’s position is simply to seek assurances from Wyre Forest District Council that the site’s football use and role as the home of Kidderminster Harriers will be safeguarded. For clarity, KHIST does not intend to block any potential sale to the club’s owner, Richard Lane, and would welcome engagement with him should he be the successful buyer, particularly in relation to any proposed stadium redevelopment plans on the Aggborough Stadium site.

If any supporters, KHIST members or non‑members have specific questions they would like us to raise with the Wyre Forest District Council, please send them in writing via email to board@khist.org.uk
