Kidderminster Harriers Junior Supporters’ Club to re-launch
Harry the Harrier will be distributing membership forms before this season’s finale at Aggborough Stadium on Saturday 30th April (Histon, 5.15pm kick-off) and this will then be followed by targeting all schools in the local area.
KHIST strongly believe that KHFC should work to ensure the next generation of Wyre Forest football fans choose the Harriers as their club over any of the big city clubs in the area and beyond. We will work closely with the club over the coming months to encourage a new generation of supporters.
Harriers’ Director Karl Davies said “we recognize the importance in securing our fan base for the future. Many of our most loyal and committed supporters started out as members of the Junior Supporters Club and it’s vital that we continue to make younger fans feel a part of our unique football club.”
The Harriers hope to improve on the number of young fans taking out membership by offering a number of benefits for the under 8’s (“Mini Reds”) and 8-15 year olds (“Junior Reds”).
All members of the supporters club will –
- receive a 10% discount on KHFC junior merchandise.
- Birthday and Christmas cards signed by the Harriers’ playing squad.
- A KHFC gift bag upon joining and the chance to be mascot for a Harriers home game.
- Plus of course entry to all 23 of Harriers’ home league games for season 2011-2012.
The club have also teamed up with some local attractions and businesses to offer giveaways and benefits for Junior Supporters. Young fans will have the chance to win prizes throughout the season, including tickets to West Midlands Safari Park and the Severn Valley Railway and free bowling and cinema tickets.
For just £5 under 8’s will become a “Mini Red” and for just £25 under 16’s will become part of the “Junior Reds” section of the Junior Supporters’ Club.
Karl Davies said “these prices offer great value for money. Our matchday prices for under 16’s are £5 per game this season, so £25 to include admission to all games plus the extra benefits represents a fantastic deal.”
The club are seeking a main sponsor for the Junior Supporters’ Club for next season and interested parties should contact the club on 01562 823931. For any further information, suggestions or ideas please contact KHIST board member Jonathan Smith – email@example.com
