Harriers Latest Squad Member

On Monday the management team and players were introduced to their latest squad member, our own 12th Man, Martyn Woodward.

Martyn, accompanied by his daughter Frances aged 13 (pictured above receiving a welcome from Steve Burr), from Halstead in Essex set off at 6.00 a.m. to attend the official team photograph and feature in press interviews with Matt Wall.

Martyn, who originates from Kidderminster, has been supporting Kidderminster Harriers since his first trip to Aggborough in 1968 only to witness a loss to Brighton & Hove Albion in a F.A. Cup First Round replay. Married with two daughters Martyn has continued to closely follow the highs and lows from 140 miles away.

Martyn still, despite the distance, manages to attend, on average, 3 home games per season and also some away fixtures.

Read more about Martyn’s day on the official club website.

We are delighted to welcome Martyn to the squad and trust that both Martyn and Frances enjoyed their ‘Aggborough’ experience on Monday.

Thank you to everyone who supported 12th Man this year.

12th Man Draw – Result

The re-draw was made at half time yesterday by Lee Vaughan and myself (pictured above), and we are pleased to announce that the official Kidderminster Harriers FC ’12th’ man for the new season is Martyn Woodward.

Our congratulations go to Martyn who will be photographed with the rest of the squad in the official team photograph and will also feature as squad member ’12’ on all home and away programmes for the forthcoming season.

There was a tremendous interest in 12th Man and I would like to thank everyone who has supported this.

12th Man Draw – Update

The draw for 12th Man took place last night and Jack Byrne was on hand to draw the lucky winner who is…………

Peter Kearns

Peter won 12th Man last year and when he was advised of his repeat win, he has decided, with’ good grace’ that he could not accept this accolade for 2 years running and has therefore very kindly relinquished his win to give someone else a chance. Our thanks go to Peter for this kind gesture.

On this basis there will be a re-draw at half time during Saturday’s game to determine this years 12th Man.

A reminder that the official team photograph will be taken on Monday 6th August and the lucky winner will need to be able to report to the ground at 9.30 a.m. on the day.

May I take this opportunity to thank all of you for your continued support of KHIST & Kidderminster Harriers FC.
