Proposed working party – Latest update

This message to members, and other supporters, has recently been received from KHIST member ‘Delph Harrier’, who has made considerable efforts to organise the project and to seek the approval of the football club :-

“Just to update everyone – i have now met with Keith Mansell and Dave Seddon at the ground in relation to the proposed event.

Works that the club would like us to assist with are as follows :

Sweeping down the Main stand and East Stand steps and washing down and cleaning the seats in both stands (the seats in the East stand will require a little more attention).
Sweeping underneath the concourse of the East stand.
Sweeping and cleaning out turnstile blocks.
Weeding around the turnstile blocks and at the rear of the North Terrace.

We have agreed on a date of Saturday 27 July with a start time of 8.00am and finish of 1.00pm.
The club would like to see how the event goes and, if there is appetite from both sides to continue, the option will be there to organise later dates.

I have reached out to John Davies at Hire It to assist with the event and he has today very kindly agreed to donate cleaning materials, sweeping brushes and other sundries to assist.

I would like to put on record my thanks to John and Hire It. This generous gesture is very much appreciated.

Keith Mansell has mentioned the club may put on drinks through the day, this has not been confirmed yet though.

I wondered if anyone interested would be able to let me know either through the thread (harriers online / chatter) or by personal message?

Now we have got this far, I am really keen to have a positive effect on the ground and would love to see as many fans support the event as possible”.
