Update – Foodbank Collection 2nd December 2023

As our members will no doubt be aware, KHIST and the vast majority of it’s board members organised and carried out a food collection prior to Saturday’s Vanarama home league fixture with Ebbsfleet United for Kidderminster food bank.

We are pleased to announce that the event was a resounding success with our kind hearted and generous fan base donating seven trolleys full of food and produce, and over £175.00 in cash donations.

The food and cash donated was kindly stored by our friends at the KHSSC over the weekend before being delivered by our Chairman – Stuart Walstrom and Treasurer Dave Lewis on Sunday afternoon the Kidderminster food bank.

KHIST would like to place on record our most sincere thanks to the following for their contributions that made the event a success:

Radio H & W – Trevor Owens & Malcolm Boyden
Kidderminster Shuttle – Jack Rawlings
KHSSC – Alan & Marie
Hartlepool FC Fans – who after hearing of the event from KHIST board member – Jerry Bartlett, sent goods across by special delivery

Finally, KHIST would like to express its sincere thanks and gratitude to its 400 members and the Harriers fan base in general.
As many of you will know the last few years have been both challenging and difficult for the trust, so to receive the support displayed on Saturday was phenomenal.

Well done to all concerned.

Warwick Nash – KHIST head of communications

On behalf of the Kidderminster foodbank I would like to thank Dave, and Stuart and all those involved in the collection. It was fantastic to weigh in all those lovely Christmas goodies and put up on the shelves in the foodbank. It weighed over 150kgs and will make our Christmas parcels so much more fun. Also the money will go towards the extra meat vouchers we will give the families to make it a proper Christmas dinner. Thank you to all the fans for making last week so great, and a win on top of that what more could we ask for. Maureen Lewis Foodbank trustee.
