KHIST Fans Day a success at Aggborough!

On Saturday over 50 Harriers supporters from the the KHIST fans team split into four seperate teams to take on Stafford Rangers, Preston North End, AFC Wimbledon and Redditch United supporters in full 90 minute matches in a fundraising day at Aggborough Stadium which included several special guests and KHFC legends.

We are pleased to announce that the day raised a record £1700 plus considerable bar takings in the fourth year that the event has run.

The first game kicked off against Stafford Rangers at 10am and Dave Greaves was the star of the show with a brace in a three nil victory in a Harriers team that included Gavin Crowe (1st team physio), Andy Fearn (cheif scout) and Philip Earl (club doctor)

Next up was a game with the impressive Preston North End fans team and despite a midfield containing John Deakin the visitors extra quality resulted in a 4-2 defeat with goals from Marc Vaughan and Lawrence Freyne.

Fellow Conference side AFC Wimbledon provided the third opponents and despite a front pairing of Delwyn Humphreys and Jon Purdie, who scored, the Dons recorded the victory in an entertaing game.

In the final and most eagerly awaited contest the famous strike partnership of Paul Davies, Kim Casey and Mick Tuohy re-united and showed glimses of their undoubted abilities against a youthful Redditch side although neither side could find the elusive goal on a 0-0 draw.

So a fantastic day for everyone involved with much needed funds raised. We’d like to thank our special guests for giving up their time. Both the KHIST Saturday and Sunday football sides continued the festivities late into the night with the end of season presentation evening in the Aggborough Suite.

More pictures from the day will follow very soon and we’d like to thank everyone that supported this event.

A reminder that the KHIST 2020 lottery draw takes place tommorrow evening (Tuesday 10th May) in the Harriers Arms at 8pm.
