KHIST Sponsored Walk to Telford
TELFORD SPONSORED WALK 2012 – Tuesday 7th February 2012
All the money raised will be split between – KHIST and the KEMP Hospice (Registered Charity 511141)
Members of the Kidderminster Harriers Independent Supporters Trust will embark on a sponsored walk to Telford on Tuesday 7th February 2012 to raise funds for the trust and the KEMP Hospice.
We invite supporter’s to take part in the 38 mile walk that will leave at 6am from Aggborough and arrive in time for the evening league game at the New Bucks Head between AFC Telford United and Kidderminster Harriers. All funds raised will be split evenly between KHIST and the Kemp Hospice.
One of KHIST aim’s is to strengthen the bonds between the Club and the community it serves whilst raising much needed funds for our club. Members have previously walked to Grays and Histon in recent years in aid of KHIST and charity.
We have chosen KEMP Hospice in memory of KHFC’s former kitman Graham Devonport (pictured) who lost his battle with cancer in November 2010 after spending four years at the Harriers.
Graham received support from KEMP Hospice who provide all embracing care for people with a life limiting illness in the Wyre Forest area and support to their loved ones.
All we ask is that each person taking part raises a minimum of £50 sponsorship but of course we’d love more!
All walkers will take part at their own risk and the route will take the walkers to the outskirts of Wolverhampton via canal towpath before completing the journey via road pavements toTelford.
