KHIST Statement

khist-logoFollowing the departure of Steve Burr on Tuesday and Andy Thorn’s appointment yesterday, I wanted to clarify a number of areas.

As reported in our November minutes and posted on this website, John Davies stepped down as KHIST Board Representative at the end of November 2013. Since then John has joined the board of directors of the club in his own right. We are currently negotiating John’s replacement with the Club and indeed have a meeting scheduled with them.

We do of course express our thanks to John for his effort & commitment during his term of office.

At the current time the Trust is without board representation and therefore, we played no part in the recent decision made unanimously by the Club’s Directors.

It was a surprise to us to learn that Steve had left the Club. A number of you have contacted us expressing your views in relation to the change of management and I can confirm that the feedback received has been passed on to Mark Serrell.

Mark has confirmed to me that, what was a difficult decision, was felt necessary, to give the football club the best chance of promotion to the Football League and that any decisions taken by the club’s board of directors is made solely in the best interests of the football club.

Mark has acknowledged that any changes can be unsettling to the clubs fans’ and has offered to respond should any fan wish to e-mail him. Mark can be contacted at chairman@harriers.co.uk

We will keep you updated when our board representation to replace John Davies is finalised with the club.
